Abraham Cervantes is a first year member of the East Los Angeles College Let’s Dance Company. He started dancing in the fall of 2008 at ELAC, where he is a currently enrolled as a student. Abraham is pursuing a career in History/Anthropology and plans to someday travel to have a better understanding of how the world works. Past and present worldly events are most intriuging to him. His favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut and Edgar Allen Poe. He loves Mexican and Chinese food and likes the color green.




Amparo Ochoa is a student at East Los Angeles College. Amparo is looking forward to transferring to California State University, Los Angeles by the end of this year. Amparo has experienced numerous types of dance with different instructors and has realized that she favors the lyrical genre. However, she has learned to appreciate all types of dance styles and body movement. Amparo’s future goal is to obtain a degree in Child Development. She would like to eventually work with disabled children. Her interest for communication opened her eyes to different art forms such as, painting, music, dance, theater, and etc. As a child, Amparo has enjoyed all kinds of food and still does. As an open minded individual, Amparo enjoys all music, beginning with classical and ending with punk rock, but the singer she enjoys the most is Andrea Bocceli, and her favorite band is Bayside.


Ashley Hernandez is a new member of ELAC’s Let’s Dance Company and a sophomore at California State University of Los Angeles. She plans to pursue a career as a registered nurse and would like to continue dancing. Ashley has taken many dance classes at ELAC, including jazz, hip-hop, and modern. She loves the color red, enjoys all genres of music, likes to dance at her favorite dance studio, Debbie Reynolds, and loves krump dancing the most.


Breanne Genite began her dance training at the age of six at San Marino Dance Academy. She has studied the art of ballet, hip-hop, hula, jazz, modern, and tap. She is now in her fourth year as a Let’s Dance Company member. Breanne is currently a freshman at East Los Angeles College and is majoring in Dance, with a minor in Business and Psychology. Once she has completed her general education courses, Breanne plans to apply to CSULB, UCLA, or NYU, where she would continue to study dance. In the future, Breanne would like to travel and perform professionally and later open a dance studio. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and her other hobbies include snowboarding and traveling.


Cinthia Ochoa has been a member of the East Los Angeles College Let’s Dance Company for three years and a graduate of the Los Angeles Trade Technical College, with a completion in the culinary arts program. She plans on owning her own restaurant and pursuing a dance career. Ms. Ochoa is an employee of the “Good Life With Gabby” program at the YMCA, promoting healthy life styles for children. On her free time, she finds herself enhancing her cooking skills, playing sports, and creating her own choreography. She loves the color blue, cooking, dancing, and art. Her favorite sports are soccer and basketball.
